Style Spotlight: Pedro Almodóvar is a vision in teal

How I wish I’d look as cool as Pedro Almodóvar when I’m 70.

The Spanish auteur, wearing sunglasses and a teal suit, was last snapped at a Hollywood party celebrating his new film, Pain and Glory.

I can’t get this fit off my mind. It screams pure 2020 energy: sharp, exuberant, and pulsing with joie de vivre—or the Spanish kind anyway.

Not in recent history have we seen this glorious color! It’s an electric traje de luces blue; not Joan Didion’s sad, Chartres blue, but the blue of a sunlit water surface that led fish to migrate to land and evolve! Indulge me.

And we have not talked about what is arguably the best bit here: that distinct black collar, which makes styling that joyous jacket with a black tight-neck shirt all the more irresistible.

Now, how to grow a full head of white hair?
