No wonder world-renowned original dermatologist-created brand, Clinique, had a fabulous night of glam to launch its new makeup products in the country.
The event started at 6:30 p.m. in Whitespace with bubbly champagne served. The celebration culminated with a party with loads of show biz’s beautiful women and personalities, complementing Clinique’s new makeup products “that capture women as works of beauty and art,” according to the information material. The new products, palanggas, are Lid Smoothie Antioxidant 8-Hour Eye Color, Quickliner for Eyes Intense and Almost Lipstick.
“We at Clinique take pride not only on our skincare expertise, but also in our colors.” said the trés charmant Paul Slavin, vice president and GM for Clinique Asia-Pacific, no less. “Did you know that if you stack every single lipstick we’ve sold worldwide, one on top of the other, it amounts to 650 Empire State Buildings?”
He was followed by Kaye Fidelino, branch manager for Clinique Philippines: “We will be launching four new makeup products, with colors more intense and vibrant, to complement a natural daytime look, to a more dramatic nighttime look, packed with ingredients that have skincare benefits. Clinique has got every woman covered.”
Okay! What more could gals want, ’di bala?
Whitespace was transformed into one wow venue with paparazzi lining up at the entrance, capturing the invitees at their most glam on the red carpet.
Everyone admired Vanessa G., the gorgeous wife of Dharmesh Goshalia, Nokia Philippines GM, dahlings.
Après gorgeous host Joey Mead welcomed us, a breathtaking acrobatic and aerial dance was performed by dancers in colorful costumes setting the mood for an awesome colorful night, dahlings.
Meanwhile, four up-and-coming Filipino visual artists—Kasey Albano, Valerie Chua, CJ de Silva and Jin Joson—interpreted on canvas the theme “You Are a Work of Art” using Clinique makeup colors, natch!
Truly, Clinique has come up with a true masterpiece for the Filipino, dahlings.

Welder PH launched its latest collection of timepieces at the chi-chi Salon de Ning at the Peninsula Manila, that had namedroppables giving gasps of “Ohs” and “Ahs” at the stylish chunks of the future on their wrist, dahlings.
Eye-catching models wore futuristic-looking outfits. The fashion show was directed by Robbie Carmona, who transformed Salon de Ning into a vault from the future. Indeed, Welder’s uniquely designed timepieces looked futuristic, naturellement!
Welder’s host of namedroppable brand ambassadors were officially introduced. They included Solenn Heussaff, show-biz personality, professional makeup artist and painter; Rovilson Fernandez, TV host and sports enthusiast; Jun de Leon, world-class lensman; Randy Ortiz, critically acclaimed fashion designer; Anton del Rosario of Team Azkals; and Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez, host of “Project Runway Philippines,” and one of the pillars of the local modeling industry, dahlings.
The awesome brainchild of Italo Fontana of U-boat watch fame, Welder takes its inspiration from the best of science fiction, creating, no less, functional art.

Argentine wine-tasting
Wine-tasting is totally a must-go-to happening these days, dahlings. So it was no surprise when the Embassy of Argentina, headed by Ambassador Joaquin Daniel Otero, hosted a divine wine-tasting event at the Palm Grove in Rockwell, dahlings.
Also present was Embassy Minister Jaime Goldaracena.
The loudest whisper was about the premium wine of Lagarde, “Henry,” brought in by young achievers Bobby Tenchavez and Carlo Lorenzana, from the Lagarde Vineyards in Lujan de Cujo, Mendoza, Argentina no less.
Bobby T. explained that Henry is named after the owner of the vineyard, Enrique “Henry” Pescarmona, and only 8,000 bottles are produced every year. Each year, the grapes are selected by a panel of world-renowned experts who choose the best of the harvest.
But that did not end there, palanggas. More wine was poured, including the Torontes and the Guarda, two other favorites among the invitees.
