Write it with sparkle

PERSONALIZED gift with ribbons, bows and beaded letter

Personalize presents by adding a sparkling touch with a beaded letter. It’s an easy way to add pizazz to wrapping presents.

Not only will the recipient appreciate the gift; they will also appreciate the effort and creativity with which you wrapped the gift.

You will need a pack of beads, a thin gauge wire, long nose pliers, a piece of bond paper, and a pencil.

MATERIALS: pack of beads, thin gauge wire

Using the pencil, draw an outline of the letter you wish to produce on the bond paper. This will serve as your guide. Approximate the length of the wire by laying it out over the letter. Once you have the desired length of wire, use the pliers to loop one end; this will serve as a ring so you can hang the beaded letter, and to secure the beads on the top end.

Insert one bead after another until you have enough. Twist the string of beads following the letter that you drew over the paper. Once the letter has been formed, twist the wire around the last bead to secure the end and prevent the beads from falling.

USE PLIERS to loop wire ends.

Wrap up the item, tie it up with ribbons and bows, hang the beaded letter, and your gift is good to give.

You can also use the beaded letters as accents for napkin rings, or hang on a ribbon tied around the neck of a wine bottle.
