From Audrey Hepburn to Beyoncé: Why leopard is everyone’s favorite print

I’m a big fan of leopard-print. It may seem wild and hard to pull off, but it’s a print that anyone can wear. My trick is how I treat it like a neutral color. The combination of brown and black makes it complement with a solid color like white. Go for pinks and read if you need to contrast. I like to wear with a rock band tee for an edgy look.

I have leopard print pants while my favorite pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes are also in the timeless pattern. You can have your go-to leopard pieces easily as the print is always on-trend and available from fast-fashion to high-end brands. You can have fun with it or use it as a staple to your look. Anything goes! That’s why I think one shouldn’t be afraid to incorporate it into their wardrobe.

To get you further inspired, I listed down a few of my favorite leopard-print moments in fashion and entertainment.

#1 Anytime Kate Moss wears the print

The supermodel goes by many different titles, including “Queen of Leopard.” That’s because she always wears it effortlessly and refreshingly. Anytime you wear a leopard-print jacket, think Kate Moss and imbibe that “do it your way” attitude.

#2 Audrey Hepburn in ‘Charade

Are headbands still in? If there’s not, maybe we can replace them with leopard-print headscarves to update our hairdos like Audrey in this comedy-mystery film.

#3 Shania Twain’s ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ music video

Why use leopard-print as an accent when you can wear it head-to-toe while walking in the desert, singing a girl-power anthem?

#4 Beyoncé Christmas 2019

Taking Shania’s advice is Beyoncé, who rocked this around the Christmas tree over the last holiday.

#5 Jennifer Lopez’s footwear label ad

To debut her J LO footwear collaboration with DSW and in partnership with the Camuto Group, Jennifer goes for a full sexy leopard look. Those heels look like something I should add to my collection!
