Celebrity stylist Maita Baello on the trends that need to say bye bye

Last week, we got stylist-to-the-stars Maita Baello of Qurator Studio to share some of her personal decluttering secrets. If you’re overwhelmed over clearing your closet, start with at least one tip she gave and work your way from there.

But not all closets are built the same. Perhaps, you’ve already done away with the clutter. Now you want to edit. A wardrobe that works for every season constantly questions what’s in and what’s out.

In the second part of our decluttering tips, Maita focuses on five specific fashion trends that you have to get rid of. It’s time to trade in the favorites you’ve seen all over with Instagram with something fresh and different.

1. Neon and tie-dye trend. Now we see a lot more of simple, neutral pieces that are easy on the eyes.

2. PVC bags and belt bags. They were all the craze before but maybe you can still keep one for the beach.

3. Skinny jeans. We’ve been seeing the rise of more relaxed jeans like mom and straight cut. Skinny isn’t coming back anytime soon.

4. Biker shorts. Over the knee is still in season but updated with a more loose, culotte style.

5. Seashell jewelry. Time to say good-bye to the beach vibes accessories.
