The streets may be empty, but loud voices on Twitter are aplenty. In the past days, it’s all coming to a fever pitch.
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto is being summoned by the NBI. People are still mad at the recent actions of Sen. Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel. Senators are looking for the concrete actions under Republic Act No. 11469, or the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. A group of 20 people was arrested for allegedly staging a rally without a permit while calling on the government to provide them with food packs.”
In response, President Duterte says: “My orders are sa pulis pati military, pati mga barangay na pagka ginulo at nagkaroon ng okasyon na lumaban at ang buhay ninyo ay nalagay sa alanganin, shoot them dead.”
Celebrities and various personalities have taken to Twitter to express their opinion on all of these issues. And it seems like they’re not holding anything back.

Ang daming ibang issues that are being brought up when the main focus should be on dealing with the chaos Covid-19 is bringing to the country. 💔🙏🏼
— Anne Curtis-Smith (@annecurtissmith) April 1, 2020
Bakit ganun. Bwisit. Nakakagalit. 😡
— zsa zsa padilla (@zsazsapadilla) April 1, 2020
— Angel Locsin (@143redangel) April 1, 2020
Like what?????!!!!

Being a responsible leader is harder. It takes compassion, heart, dignity and a lot of patience and ofcourse one has to be healthy physically and mentally in this trying time. Lets all help each other. We only have one another in this trying times.

Focus on whats really important: HELPING THE PEOPLE THROUGH THIS CRISIS.
Let Mayor Vico do his job (which he is doing so well already 👏🏻)
Akala niyo madidistract niyo kami ah.

If our govt wont act fast, no one can stop a starving population from looting, rallying, or fighting for what they deserve. It’s only a matter of time. Not being a pessimist but we’ve seen this incident happen all over the world. Govts exist to fully serve the people. #Ideally https://t.co/6JQ4nmjBFx

There’s no better time but now, for the Filipino people to reap the benefits of paying our taxes.☺️ It’s the perfect time for our government to show us why it’s good to pay our taxes.
That’s it. That’s the tweet.

Hay. Nakakalungkot. I appreciate the visibility but that means nothing without transparency. Anong plano? Hindi naman pwedeng tiwala lang.
— JANINE ❤️🔥 (@janinegutierrez) March 30, 2020
BUONG BANSA.
— Angelica Panganiban (@angelica_114) April 1, 2020
Wala silang mapag initan. Si mayor vico talaga? Kung sino pa may natutulong at maayos na sistema, siya pa kakasuhan? HANEP! So far kasi yun palang nagagawa niya. Ikalat ang virus. Mapapamura ka na lang pala talaga.
— Angelica Panganiban (@angelica_114) April 1, 2020
This isnt just about protecting a mayor anymore, it means protecting what Vico has shown us in the little time he's been Mayor— that the people are more important than self-interest and that there's still so much hope for our country. #ProtectVico
