Events manager Nino Gaddi has spent the quarantine cooking and looking for new recipes for his IGTV (@oningaddi). “And eating, most of the time,” he added. “I guess that’s one way of coping with the situation for me.”His lockdown cooking videos have themes: “I call my cooking videos pala #QuarantineCuisine and #DeLataDelicacies by #FoodtrippinwithOnin.”Fitness is a priority, too. He follows YouTube videos by The Fitness Marshall, Up to the Beat Fit and Lucy Wyndham-Read.

“Since ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) got extended, I also gave in to TikTok. I tried to resist. But the force is just too strong,” Gaddi said.

“I am trying to live day by day and I’m taking things lightly, and just focus on the things that I can do rather than the ones that I have no control of.”

Creative director Vince Uy started a fundraiser for Specimen Collection Tools with friends. “We coordinated with the Quezon City [government]and were able to send over 2,000 tools,” he said.

At home, he and Gaddi have developed a routine: “We go plant-based for a day in a week, do daily dance workouts and have been keeping ourselves busy by redecorating and organizing our home, as well.”—PAM PASTOR INQ
