Obviously miffed at Monday’s congressional hearing on ABS-CBN’s franchise bid, feisty personality Annabelle Rama took a jab at Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta, Cavite congressman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla and former broadcaster Jay Sonza.
On her Twitter account last Tuesday, July 7, Rama consecutively aired her disgust over the proceedings.
“I’m watching now ABS Franchise Hearing sa congress.
(My comment to Cong. Remulla is why are you always shouting and why are you so angry when you ask Carlo Katigbak who is very cool? Hearing your voice is painful to my head and ears, considering that you’re close together, right?)
“Pareho lang kayo ni Cong. Makuleta, lagi nalang galit.
(You’re just like Cong. “Makuleta”, you’re always angry. You always cut when ABS-CBN people answer your questions, you don’t let them finish. What’s that? You’re so unlike a congressman. You beat even Trump. You should give a little respect to your guests.)
Meanwhile, although Rama did not name him, she clearly took a swipe at Jay Sonza who was a resource person during the hearing.
(You even pay attention to a has-been who speak like a guy with nasal defect. You were always asking Mr. Katigbak if he is telling the truth. He answered you in the affirmative and you still won’t believe him. It was like you were dealing with criminals. You’re not funny anymore.)
Rama was also obviously incensed at the way Cong. Remulla asked questions.
(Your attitude is so irritating. May I ask you again, why are you so mad? Even the microphone has already given up on you. Just relax, one opponent at a time.)
Continuing her rant, she articulated her disgust over the procedure.
(It’s as if you’re deaf. You’re always shouting. You’re no longer funny. You’re trying to grab attention for some exposure on TV. I’m beginning to take after you, I’m also already shouting inside the house.)
She then praised Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN’s chief operating officer for broadcast, for being calm and collected during the hearing.
“Tama ang ginagawa mo Cory poise na poise ka [di ka] pumapatol sa mga sigawan nila,” she said. (What you did is right, Cory. You’re poised and you did not join in their shouting matches.)
Out of sheer exasperation, Rama later decided not to watch the whole proceedings anymore.
(I just had my TV turned off. I will just watch the news where I can learn a lot of things.) JB
