Home cooking and baking have become very popular domestic activities, as people remain quarantined at home. But the aroma of all that food may leave a lingering smell beyond your kitchen.
Since many of us spend a lot of time waiting out a casserole or prepping for a recipe, this simmering home fragrance or potpourri is perfect for keeping your home smelling fresh in a natural way—on your stove-top. And if you got bitten by the gardening bug, as well, you will probably find the necessary ingredients in your garden.
You will need:A few sprigs of rosemary
3-4 slices of lemon
1-2 c water
Saucepan
Put your rosemary sprigs, lemon slices and 1 cup of water in your saucepan.
Set your stove on low heat and put your saucepan to simmer. As it simmers, the fresh fragrance of the lemon and rosemary will waft softly and effectively around the room. Add water as the whole concoction evaporates.
You can resimmer three to five times.
Tips:
Add a few drops of vanilla extract to the mix for that warm undertone.
Add your favorite essential oils for a healing effect.
Try a combination of scents. For example, lemon and basil, or cinnamon sticks and nutmeg. INQ
