Kapuso actress Kris Bernal’s recent statements in social media are peppered with positivity as she comforted fans and followers by saying that it’s OK not to be OK.
Bernal believes that being not okay is alright. She even expounded on reasons for being so, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, July 14.
“Life happens, unexpected things happen, not being okay happens. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to cry for our losses. It’s okay to mourn the dreams that didn’t pan out. It’s okay to be hurt and not have things figured out,” she said.
For her, it is very “human” to feel “weak” and when problem arise, it’s important to “seek support of people you love.”
“Having emotions and feelings doesn’t make you weak. Having emotions and feelings makes you human…,” she advised. “Take as much time as you need to feel the emotion and recover. Take the time you need to rest, recharge, and breathe. Take care of yourself the best way you know how.”
In closing, the petite actress declared that she believes no one’s “perfect.”
“No matter what the world tells you, you don’t have to be perfect, and it’s okay not to be okay,” she stressed.
Bernal’s fans and followers were grateful for the inspiring message.
One of them, @kerbermercado, was overwhelmed by the actress’ post and replied, “Need this message right now, thank you for sharing.”
One @anne_mendoza143 felt Bernal was inspired by a Korean soap “starring Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji [in] ‘Its Okay Not To Be Okay’.”
Another grateful commenter was @chezsangph who said, “Thank you for this message Ms Kris Bernal, sobrang tagos sa puso.” (It hits right through the heart.)
One @katetbabaran said, “… people [nowadays] need this kind of messages [this gives] high hopes in everyday lives.” JB
