In the midst of the pandemic, Sharon Cuneta acknowledges the many pains that Filipinos are going through and gave advice on staying positive.

In her Instagram post today, July 27, Cuneta shared a quote card of a Bible passage which said, “’My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’ Exodus 33:14.”

Cuneta began her message by saying how COVID-19 has affected many Filipinos.

“I know this COVID-19 Crisis has been making us lose hope sometimes…Especially because we just don’t know when it will end so we can go back to doing things the way we are used to.”

The Megastar described the “new normal” as “new, and it isn’t NORMAL the way we know ‘normal’ to be.”

Given the situation, Cuneta felt that “what we human beings are most afraid of is CHANGE.”

“It takes time to adjust to something new: living your life without a loved one who either left you or passed away, losing your home, losing your job, losing a friend because you were betrayed…and yes, getting sick or having a loved one become sick,” she said.

For her, that is nothing new as “we all have been through trials in life.”

She believes that what’s more important is that “we are still alive; we are able to smile, we are still loved and we love.”

“Remember: This, too, shall pass,” she said.

“And WHATEVER DOES NOT KILL US WILL ONLY MAKE US STRONGER,” she stressed.

She advised to “turn to God with a sincere and open heart. Talk to Him. Especially kung never mo Siyang kinausap noon. (Especially if you never talked to Him in the past).”

Some on Instagram agreed with Cuneta’s positivity.

One Instagram user, @roeankarla, opened up on having to raise a baby during the coronavirus pandemic. “Thank you. I needed this. It’s definitely has taken a toll on us, though grateful because we are healthy, we have food and all the necessities for our little one.”

Another social media user, @gigi_czarny reiterated Cuneta’s advice, stating, “Let’s all pray together instead of spreading not so good vibes.” NVG
