Singer-composer Ogie Alcasid expressed his gratitude to his wife Regine Velasquez-Alcasid for contributing her precious Hermes bag to his fundraising campaign for OPM singers and musicians left without work amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Salamat mahal for contributing this one. This will help our opm singers and musicians!” Alcasid said as he showed an image of his wife’s luxury bag on his Instagram page on Aug. 1. “For inquiries Pls call 63 917 815 8032.”
He also included his Star Wars toys and other toy collections in the sale.
“Batch 2 of assorted toys from star wars and other action figures will be on sale to help our opm singers and musicians who have lost their gigs since march. For inquiries pls call +63 917 815 8032 all proceeds go to www.opm.org for this fund raiser,” he appealed.
This is not the first time Alcasid auctioned off his prized collection of toys. Last May 22, he posted some of his toys which he donated to the campaign of Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis, to raise funds for the personal protective equipment of medical frontliners.
“Been collecting these for over 24 years. Time to let go of most toys so someone else may take care of them and at the same time people will be tested for [COVID-19],” he said. “Just helping an angel with her advocacy.” JB
