Maine Mendoza apologizes for ‘not-so-clean house’

Kapuso star Maine Mendoza could not stand showing a disorderly home to fans so she was quick to apologize to them about her supposedly messy home when they saw it today.

It so happened that Mendoza was reporting for her “Eat! Bulaga” hosting chores from home because of the reimposition of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), being observed anew in some parts of the country.

“Work from home ulit dahil MECQ, pero live na live pa din kami sa @EatBulaga. Stay home lang mga dabarkads at balikan natin ang mga masasaya at makabagbag dadaming episodes ng Bawal Judgmental. Tutok na!” she said today on her Twitter page, Aug. 5.

(It’s work form home again because of MECQ, but we’re still live at @EatBulaga. Just stay home, friends, and let’s reminisce on the happy and touching episodes of the Bawal Judgmental [segment]. Stay tuned.)

After this, Mendoza turned apologetic as she announced that she has not cleaned her house.

“P.S. pasensya na sa bahay ko, di ako masyado nakapaglinis,” she said. (Please bear with me, I have not yet fully cleaned the house.)

But there’s nothing to worry about, as it turns out, because Mendoza’s fans didn’t find the house messy at all. Actually, they loved it, and considered it a “mansion” because of two grand staircases in the background, which can be seen behind her as she sat before the computer monitor. It is possible though that the background is simply a graphic used to cover the real appearance of the place where she’s at. Again, even that did not matter to the fans.

“Nakatutok ako/kami sa Eat bulaga para masilayan ka. At ok lang kht di ka nakapaglinis maunawain naman kami,” one @dezrodriguez said.

(We’re watching Eat Bulaga to see you. It’s okay though you have not yet cleaned. We are understanding.)

One fan, @braveangel, loved Mendoza’s place, saying, “We miss watching you live on EB, our dear @mainedcm. Pero happy na rin watching you live from home! In fairness, ang ganda pa rin ng bahay mo kahit di ka nakapaglinis, hahaha! [Ang] laki, parang hotel lang ha! Ingat lagi.”

(In fairness, your house is still so beautiful though you have not cleaned it yet. It’s so big, it’s like a hotel. Take care always.)

Another fan, one @noafabdulah, was so impressed that she said, “Bahay ni Kim Kardashian yan eh.” (That’s the house of Kim Kardashian.)

Echoing the same belief, one @glinduhhli shared an image of Kim Kardshian’s mansion in the thread and said, “Parang katulad sa bahay ng mga Kardashian [‘yung] design.”

(It’s like the house of the Kardashians, the design.) JB
