For every crisis, an opportunity.
The new coronavirus disease pandemic has challenged the management of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts to find viable ways of doing business for its branches.
Launched at a recent virtual media meet were promotional packages for Go Hotels and Summit Hotels and Resorts.
Go Hotels’ Home to Go offers twin-sharing, all-in accommodations for P18,000 a month—or P300 per day per person—inclusive of water, electricity and Wi-Fi.
A typical Home to Go room measures 18 sq m, with twin beds (only two people are allowed per room) and a private bathroom. Rooms for persons with disability are available. All rooms have cable TV and unlimited free Wi-Fi.
While cooking in the room is not permitted, long-staying guests may prepare their meals at the common area pantry found on each floor.
For guests who don’t have time or are simply too tired to cook, meals for as low as P100 per set can be ordered online. Weekly meals may also be ordered in advance, with food order forms provided via QR meal ordering to guests.
The offer is a practical solution for young professionals, officemates, friends or college students looking for convenience, comfort and security in a budget-friendly setting.
It’s better than renting a regular condo unit, which usually requires at least two months’ deposit and a downpayment. Home to Go offers a more affordable prepayment scheme, equivalent to a one-month stay, which can be made through bank transfer or by credit card.
Upon checking in, guests are provided with the Circle of Clean hygiene kits, towels, a set of pillows and fresh bed linen.
Circle of Clean is Robinsons Hotels and Resorts’ hygiene and cleanliness standards based on World Health Organization (WHO) and Department of Health (DOH) protocols.
The towels and linen are given free to guests after their one-month stay.
Home to Go is available at Go Hotels Otis-Manila, Go Hotels Ortigas Center and Go Hotels Mandaluyong until Dec. 31.
Monthly packages
Meanwhile, Summit Hotels and Resorts is also offering all-in accommodations for a minimum stay of one month at P22,000 per room at its branches in Greenhills, Magnolia, Ridge Tagaytay and Galleria Cebu; and at P20,000 per room at Summit Circle Cebu and Tacloban.
The monthly room rate is based on twin-sharing, maximum of two persons per room. Accommodations include complimentary utilities (water, electricity), unlimited Wi-Fi and weekly cleaning.
Add-on items such as toiletries, extra linens and prepackaged meals are available for a fee.
The third item in Robinsons’ promotional package is called Working on the Go. Guests at Go Hotels in Ortigas and Mandaluyong can rent an 18-sq m office space for P16,200 a month.
Shared with a coworker or a friend, the rent is P270 per person per day. Add P3,600 per month if the office is furnished with office tables and chairs (good for two persons).
At Go Hotels Ortigas Center, having an office right beside one’s hotel room goes for P36,000 a month. It includes an 18-sq m office space with an adjoining 18-sq m guestroom.
For a bigger office space, Summit Hotels Magnolia and Greenhills has bare units each measuring 30 sq m, available for P27,000 a month.
A furnished office space with tables and chairs for two persons may be rented for P33,000 a month.
A room with an office measuring approximately 56 sq m is available at Summit Hotels Greenhills for P48,000 a month.
All office and room packages come with free water, electricity and Wi-Fi, as well as free cleaning services every week.
