Moira dela Torre opens up on being hit by anxiety attacks

Singer Moira dela Torre unabashedly revealed that she’s been of late suffering from anxiety attacks, but remains hopeful despite her condition.

The Kapamilya singer recalled how she has been physically suffering from a series of anxiety attacks and its resulting physical pain, as seen on her Instagram post on Aug. 10.

“The past few days have been tough mentally. [Anxiety] attacks have been often. [My] joints start to stiffen. [I couldn’t] breathe. [But] it hurts more to know that so many people go through this [with] me every single day,” she said.

She encouraged those like her who are suffering from this condition to not be ashamed and to consult medical experts for treatment.

“[So] let this post be a reminder that it’s okay not to be okay and that getting help is good! [It’s] not something to be ashamed of. [Our] partners, our family, our friends, our psychiatrists are all gifts from God. [Don’t] be afraid to open up. [Your] pain is valid. [You] are important and you are worthy to be heard,” she said.

Ever positive, dela Torre believes that her medical condition can be healed. All that’s needed is keeping the faith.

“[I] also need you to know, healing is for YOU. God ACTUALLY wants to heal you and to bless you. [So] don’t let the enemy drown you in shame and rob you of the healing you deserve because you are SO loved. [Our] confidence is that we have a faithful Father we can always trust,” she said.

“[Lastly], remember that you have conquered tougher days. NONE of this is permanent… so keep going, my friend! [The] pain you are suffering cannot compare to the joy that is coming!! [So] at present, we can exercise the muscle of gratitude so much that it outweighs the muscle of worry,” she reassured her fans and followers. “TOGETHER. [You] are stronger [and] braver than you think and you are most definitely not alone.” JB
