Sharon Cuneta gives Marian Rivera a commissioned portrait for her birthday

Megastar Sharon Cuneta commissioned her newly discovered favorite artist Jun Agustin to make a portrait of actress Marian Rivera as a birthday present. Rivera’s portrait is a 15×20 oil painting worth P10,000.

Rivera celebrated her birthday last Aug. 12, when she turned 36. To show her gratitude, she showed her fans the portrait, as seen on her Facebook page on Sunday, Aug. 9.

“Salamat Ninang Sharon Cuneta,” Rivera thanked her godmother Cuneta.

Earlier, Cuneta disclosed that she discovered the artist Agustin through her fans who shared with her a portrait which she found to be an impeccable piece of art. It captured her real self, she said. Immediately, she bought the portrait although she already had so much in her possession.

“I had to buy it. Not because I need another painting of myself,” Cuneta said via Facebook on Aug. 4, while joking that her children might just sell these numerous paintings upon her death simply because they are already too many. Nonetheless, she still bought the work by Agustin, “because I think he deserves some support.”

Agustin has recently posted portraits of Cuneta and Rivera on his Instagram page with the handle @junsartwork. His Jun’s Artworks shop is located at the second floor of Jackman Plaza, Muñoz along EDSA in Quezon City. JB
