Editor’s Picks: This week in menswear, a digest (No. 1)

This week in menswear has seen several notable hits, from a hauntingly perfect shade of green on a roomy tote bag, to fresh footwear that is equal parts dressed to kill and chill. Below are our picks for top highlights of the week.

Best mirror fit pic: Gus Dapperton in the black tuxedo jacket, white T-shirt, blue jeans, white socks, and black loafers, is a pitch-perfect style cocktail.

Best all-black fit: Sam Fender in uniform and a fresh Peaky cut takes the pie.

Best hoodie: It’s a tough category to reign in, but this week the trophy goes to the Purple merch hoodie, here seen on artist Ben Elliot. It must be the sweet pink, or the sunset, or the promise of the sea. An overall vibe for me.

Best sunglasses: Sunnies I want to cop are actor Aron Piper’s; it’s the perfect shape, and that high-frequency bling detail on the temples make wearing just a white T-shirt a hundred times cooler.

Best bag: The Palm Bag from Vejas is a beautiful functional sculpture. That sumptuous shade of mature cactus haunts me!

Best beach fit: You may say that the best seaside look is some tan and some abs, but this vacationing couple in Maine, captured by Mordechai Rubinstein aka Mister Mort, deserve a shoutout. Look at him, pairing two kinds of vertical stripes like a pro!

Best hat: Model and all-around dapper dude Andrew Georgiades wears the Jacquemus canvas bucket hat (or Le bob Artichaut) as one should: with a glowing tan and pristine scruff.

Best shoes: This week’s freshest footwear are the Martine Rose square-toe, slip-on loafers, which come in black, white, and python. Great with fresh jeans or reposing about a chez toi in your undies.

Best face mask: Bastille is selling Bastille-branded face masks, as seen on freshly bleached frontman Dan. Proceeds of the sale will go to out-of-work crew members due to the pandemic. You can buy the pair of face masks on their web store for GBP 15.
