Mutual admiration for each other shined in the first collaboration of popular photographer BJ Pascual and celebrity vlogger Ivana Alawi, which resulted in a fun-filled and sultry pictorial.
Right from the start, Alawi expressed her admiration for Pascual, as seen in the vlog episode he posted in his Youtube channel, Aug. 23, covering the pictorial. The shoot was assisted by his team made up of stylists Adrianne Concepts and the glam squad of Renz Pangilinan and Anthea Bueno.
Pascual in turn also expressed his admiration for Alawi, even joking that he hoped Alawi would notice his liking of her posts, which was futile since Alawi had too many followers showering her with likes.
The celebrated photographer discussed that he wanted to merge 1960s beauty looks with the equally distinct 1990s looks. This was seen in each of the set of looks they created for Alawi.
The initial set was geared more towards the casual. It saw Alawi donning a lime green halter top paired with blue jeans. The poses initially proved challenging for Alawi who joked that it has been four months since she worked out, and that the shoot is turning out to be one. She also donned a cardigan paired with a high-slit skirt, a checkered and tight-fitting top and pants, and an animal print-inspired number to close the first set.
The next set saw Alawi doing the Prada look, as conceptualized by Pascual. For this set, she wore makeup that leaned towards a more alluring look, and was clothed in pastel-colored dresses, but it was the lace lingerie which stood out in this set.
Another stylish number saw her doing the Carla Bruni look, as described by Pascual. It was an all white ensemble with a feathery head piece. Alawi had much laughs while being glammed up for this particular number.
But what viewers should look out for is her surprise topless look during the shoot, wearing nothing but tight-fitting black bootleg pants.
After the shoot, Pascual asked Alawi about her experience, and she did not hesitate at all in declaring, “Ang saya, sobra, ito na yung pinaka-fun shoot ko (It was so much fun, this has been my most fun shoot),” she said. “I enjoyed every layout.” JB
