This summer, palanggas, with more than 7,000 islands to choose from, you definitely won’t have a hard time finding your own fun place in the sun.

With this in mind, Nivea Sun, one of the world’s top skin-care brands, launched “Summer’s More Fun with Nivea Sun,” held at Skye in Fort Bonifacio, with beautiful people in full attendance. The promo was in partnership with the Department of Tourism.

Dubbed as Nivea Sun’s 7 Summer Wonders, “This promo is being carried out online by enjoining people to vote for their top seven local summer wonders in the Philippines,” said Jamie Sanico, Nivea Sun brand manager. “One winner will get to enjoy an all-expense-paid trip for two to the destination that topped the list.”

A special fashion collection by Charina Sarte was shown. Each exquisite and functional piece was inspired by the Nivea colors of blue, orange and yellow, “exuding a fun, carefree and sexy feel that’s perfect for any summer activity,” said the designer.

Later, five lucky guests won each a gift certificate worth P5,000 from Charina Sarte.

Meanwhile, a guest was ecstatic for winning an all-expense-paid trip for two to a local destination.

Loads of amazing Nivea Sun products were given away to the guests.

When summer arrives, you can be sure, dahlings, that Nivea’s world-renowned products will help you protect your skin.

‘Fuerza Bruta’

Aprés stunning the world with its totally original concept, the world-class Argentine circus troupe “Fuerza Bruta” finally landed in the country and gave Cosmo Manille a taste of a truly interactive spectacle last Valentine’s at the Manila Hotel’s Tent, dahlings.

Translated as “brute force,” “Fuerza Bruta” presented a bold and avant-garde production that amazed us, as it had done so in the world’s trendiest capitals, palanggas, from New York to Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv. It had impressed the international set and such celebrities as Orlando Bloom, Bradley Cooper and Blake Lively. What a thrill it was to be among the first to experience this unique party-and-show at the Manila Hotel.

It was a romp of a show that encouraged the audience to join in on the fun. It featured a man on a giant treadmill, ballerinas dancing like banshees on the wall, and the crowd’s favorite—an overhead transparent pool with what I’d like to call modern-day mermaids (and soon, on selected days, men will be joining this water act as well, palanggas).

With world-class performers, an innovative stage concept, and incredible light and sound design, “Fuerza Bruta” is definitely a must-experience, dahlings.

The after-party had loads of namedroppables enjoying it for hours at the “Fuerza Bruta” Lounge designed by UK-trained artist and architect Juan Carlo Calma, no less.

We saw style-setters Rhett Eala, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Laureen Uy, Liza Ilarde, Myrza Sison (with husband Andrej Wisniewski), Tim Yap, Raymond Gutierrez and Patty Laurel.

Also having a blast were Georgina Wilson and Borgy Manotoc, Sarah Meier-Albano, Anton Mendoza, Ters and Freddie Olbes, banker Andrew Gan, Michelle Madrigal, and even Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, dahlings.

Our host was public relations man Robbie Francisco, dahlings.

“Fuerza Bruta” is brought to the country by Hoopla Inc., the same group that brought Cirque du Soleil to the Philippines last year. (“Fuerza Bruta” will be performing until March 26. For details, visit www.hoopla.ph or call 3201111.)

Sold-out Wynn Wynn Ong

What will surely thrill and excite discriminating A-list women? Jewelry, dahlings.

This was trés evident during the exclusive viewing of the new collection of Burmese-born Wynn Wynn Ong’s Artisanal jewelry line, no less. Loads of Manille’s fashion pack turned out for the affair.

The exquisite one-of-a-kind pieces were on display for the chosen 100 ladies at a chic cocktail hosted by Philippine Tatler, natch, and Visa Infinite, at the Pasay rooms of Makati Shangri-La, palanggas.

Guests enjoyed the chilled bubbly Moet and Chandon champagne and lychee martinis while nibbling on Peking duck and other Asian-inspired cocktail yummies.

W.W. Ong presented her dazzling bling-blings of 58 necklaces, earrings, ring and her signature evening clutches. All were handmade following the theme that welcomed the auspicious Year of the Dragon.

Viewing the collection were Tatler’s Irene Martel Francisco and Visa VIP’s Betty Sia, Lourdes Montinola, Nenet Schmid, Georgina Padilla, Marilou Prieto, Julia Holz, Tina Tan and Ingrid Go.

At the end of the sparkling happening, all the items had been sold out, to the dismay of some women who missed them, di bala, palanggas?

Like all of Tatler’s must-go-to events, this was no exception. Invitees were glad they made it to Wynn Wynn O’s superb show, dahlings.
