Daiana Menezes continues fight against cancer, promotes Breast Cancer Awareness month

While quietly dealing with cancer for two years now, Brazilian TV host Daiana Menezes fights on, this time by promoting October as Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Menezes shared cancer statistics in the United States and ways on how to deal with cancer through her Instagram post last Saturday, Oct. 2.

“I know most of the world stopped this year worried with this horrendous pandemic, but it’s not the only issue we have to deal with this 2020, there are 1.8 million NEW CANCER CASES and 606,520 CANCER DEATHS IN 2020 just in [the] USA,” she said.

She then spoke up about how she has been battling cancer.

“I am peacefully coexisting with cancer for 2 years. If I can do it, anyone can,” she said, asking everyone to “empower one another.”

She offered some tips on how to battle the Big C. One is by always getting a check-up or by doing research and self-examination. Another is by paying attention to diet, stress, sleep and relationships, by exercising and avoiding certain foods, and getting lots of vitamin C.

“Carcinogenic products are part of our every day life,” she pointed out. “I don’t eat sugar and I avoid carbs for [two] years, and although people think I do it to be ‘sexy’ or @thedripmnl IV drip weekly that contains supplements that help u to be ‘beautiful,’ f–k all that superficial looks thing, it’s my health first.”

“But most importantly, pray,” she said.

Menezes also told fans and followers to feel free to ask her anything: “I’ll leave a link on the bio of my profile for this month where you can watch me, my surgery and my cancer journey.” JB
