Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Padilla would like to be walking down the aisle before he reaches the age of 30, because he believes that would be the perfect time for marriage.
“My dream wedding would be a beach wedding,” he declared during an online press conference for his virtual concert “Apollo: A Daniel Padilla Digital Experience” scheduled on Oct. 11.
(I hope it happens before I reach 30. I don’t want it to be too far ahead.)
Padilla wished he could reach his goal to settle down in three or four years time.
“Well, ako ang nakikita ko after three or four years (ako magpapakasal).
(Well, what I see is [I will get married] after three of four years. I don’t want to prolong it. It is because when you reach 30, everything goes fast. I hope that before I reach 30, everything would be smooth and the wedding pushes through.)
But is the actor ready for the plunge?
“Why not, why wait? (If the situation is OK, if you’re not yet that old, you can still play [with your kids].)
As for his concert, while it will be virtual, Padilla assured fans that Kathryn Bernardo will be present while he’s performing.
(She needs to be there because I feel nervous. When she’s there supporting me, I feel more comfortable and I feel that I can do it.)
Doing a virtual concert is new to Padilla but he has learned to embrace the new normal.
“I think it’s a new gate to open, the digital world of concert. Nasa harap na natin,” he explained. (Even I myself am still slowly getting used to digital, because I am not that much into the internet, but here it is, it’s already right before us.)
He also believes that trying out the new set-up will help make it better for the next generation of performers.
“Anyway, gusto lang nating buksan ang bagong gates not just for me, para sa next na magko-concert pa,”Padilla said. (Anyway, we just want to open the gates, not just for me but for the next ones who will do concerts.) “This is possible. It is different but it is possible.” JB
