Gretchen Ho nears completion of her ‘Donate A Bike, Save A Job’ campaign

TV host and former volleyball player Gretchen Ho is just 14 bikes shy of her plan to give away 500 bicycles, as part of her “Donate A Bike, Save A Job” campaign.

Ho lauded her team’s dedication to distribute the free bikes as per her Instagram post yesterday, Oct. 26, where a collage of photos showed some recipients of the bikes.

“[Ten] cities in 10 straight weeks!!! Nearing 500 bikes distributed!! Mighty proud of my TEAM. Grabe yung dedikasyon at commitment ng bawat isa!! Kahit umuulan kahapon, laban pa rin,” she said. (The dedication and commitment of each one is great. Even when it was raining yesterday, they fought on.)

She reported that 40 brand new bikes were recently given away along with 10 folding bikes (care of actor Zanjoe Marudo and another donor Ahwel Paz), all these to 50 frontliners from Quezon City and Manila as a special batch. They were also given Floodwalker boots and rain coats, which they would need for this rainy season.

“Last week naman, we were able to give 50 bikes to Malabon-Navotas residents courtesy of Makati Business Club, Pitch In PH and individual donors. Please see last photo for list of donors. We’re processing the [art cards] now!! Muli, maraming maraming Salamat. (Again, thank you very much) God bless you all a thousand-fold,” she added.

Ho stated that the campaign had already distributed 486 bikes.

“I still have 14 left here at home to give randomly ‘til we reach our first goal: 500! I have a special announcement soon,” she said. JB
