For fitness enthusiast and celebrity “plantita” Aubrey Miles, her monstera albo is the best, noting how the plant has been with her for seven years now.
“I have to admit I am probably connected to this plant the most, ever since. It’s been with me for [seven] years old now. If it were today, then I got her for an unbelievable low price. Back then it was actually a bit pricey for me,” she spoke of her favorite in her Instagram page yesterday, Nov. 30.
“She’s most connected to me [because of] the time, effort, problems, survival [etc.] that we’ve shared together,” she said, recalling that she first saw the plant in a garden show, on the first day of the event.
“Nobody was really paying attention to it,” she added, describing it then as “[with four] leaves, [in a] green plastic pot, with a bamboo pole, [and] half white [and] green leaves…” When she went back at the last day and the plant was still there, she took it as a sign to buy it.
“So I told myself, it’s meant for me,” she thought.
Since the day Miles took the plant home, her monstera albo has never given her a problem except for “a little bug here and there but nothing major.” She has also made money from it.
“I sold countless cuttings from her. She made me money, even till now. She’s my money maker [laughs]. I also gave away some to my family. She made so many people happy. I just want to give her a moment and say thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she said.
For now, Miles is leaving her monstera albo as it is.
“She’s giving me more babies again. Should I cut again? Next time na siguro. Let’s enjoy life muna,” she said. (Next time, perhaps. Let’s enjoy life first.) JB
