Feng shui master says 2021 could be ‘year of vaccines’ | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

MAKATI CITY, Philippines—In the Chinese zodiac cycle, 2021 is considered the “Year of the Metal Ox.” This could mean that the coming year may witness the mass inoculation against the dreaded COVID-19, which caused a pandemic.

“It’s a ‘metal’ year, so it’s a year of vaccination because of the metal element. The metal aspect is the needle (used in syringes to administer the vaccine),” Marites Allen told a select group of writers in a recent virtual meet up.

Allen, recognized by many as “The Queen of Feng Shui,” virtually met with a select group of writers from the Philippines and other countries recently from London, where she is currently based with her husband and children, to share a preview of her forecast for 2021.

The United States and England have already rolled out their respective vaccination drives, while several other countries are gearing up for their own mass inoculation programs.

In terms of the economy, both local and global, Allen projects a bullish run for technology-based enterprises. “Those that have something to do with earth, such as real estate, may also expect a good year,” she added.

However, she said that the people may still be conservative in their endeavors as the “fire element” that brings optimism is missing in 2021.

“Some have doubts in their hearts and minds. Trust will not be there in full swing,” Allen explained, adding that people should save up, and “only spend on things that matter.”

As far as the Chinese zodiac signs are concerned, Allen said those born in the years of the rabbit, ox, tiger, horse, and rooster could expect a more favorable year. While those born in the years of the rat, boar, sheep, dog, dragon, and snake should brace themselves for more challenges.

She, however, reminded the people that feng shui readers are not fortune tellers. “We are just offering them guides on what the general atmosphere may bring,” she explained.

Allen will present a more in-depth forecast for 2021, touching the economy, politics, show business, and other matters, in a virtual feng shui webinar on Dec. 19. TV host Boy Abunda will join her in her presentation.

She said she pursued a virtual edition of the 16th installment of her annual feng shui forecast because of the clamor from people from around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic may have prevented the physical conduct of the conference, but the geomancer said she is embracing the “new normal” to show the people that life goes on.

Those who are interested in her 2021 forecast may visit her official Facebook page for details on how to register for the webinar.
