“@calthebrand officially launched today. My [17-year-old] @callieahmee slaying life early and championing Filipino pride and craftsmanship,” Romana declared.
Seeing her daughter being interviewed for her first business venture was a surreal experience for the celebrity mom.
“Habang iniinterview si Callie kanina (While Callie was being interviewed a while ago) I [couldn’t] help but feel so proud and amazed at how she was handling herself. Many from our media friends present kanina (a while ago) were messaging me privately about how impressed they were [with] her, starting her own business, helping communities of Filipino artisans and using her platform to inspire more young people like herself to use and support loCal products,” the “Kadenang Ginto” star recalled.
Seeing Callie’s initial steps in venturing into a business tickled Romana’s motherly instinct.
“As a parent and an entrepreneur myself, I find joy in our investment victories big and small pero iba pala ang fulfillment at saya sa puso (the fulfillment and heartfelt joy is actually different) when you see how empowered your children have become because of the love and security that we give them,” she shared.
“Callie anak, today, you have just opened up to the world and the world is ready for you.”
Callie takes after her mom’s entrepreneurial spirit — the actress is a co-owner of Asia’s Lashes beauty center and invests her showbiz earnings in properties. NVG
