Celebrity mom Camille Pats strongly believes in the benefits of vaccination, so much so that she urges fellow mothers to have their babies vaccinated.
Prats explained the advantages of doing so by sharing with fans an old video of her son Nolan being vaccinated, as seen on her Instagram page last Monday, Dec. 28.
“Throwback to 2019 where Nolan is getting his first vaccination,” she said.
Prats recalled how it was easy to get babies vaccinated then, until the pandemic hit the country and took a toll on all aspects of life, including the task of going to a doctor or to the hospital. But she feels that this should not discourage any mom from giving her child protection from diseases.
“I can relate to you, mga mommies kaya naman (which is why) I recommend to talk to your pedia on how to make sure that your kids get the protection they need during this time. Nakakatakot man lumabas ngayon, pero mas nakakatakot na magkasakit ang mga bata,” she said. (It might be scary to go out these days, but it is more frightening for children to get sick.)
“It is always better to get that extra layer of protection,” Prats stressed.
She reiterated her advise to moms to visit their pediatricians nonetheless. The actress also expressed gratefulness for her own pediatrician who makes home visits to give the children their due vaccination.
“Have you talked to your pedia about catch up plans for missed vaccinations?” she asked as a reminder. “Don’t forget, i-una ang bakuna!” (Make vaccination a priority.) JB
