Rica Peralejo feels the holidays went so fast, but she still relishes the moments her family spent together, no matter how fleeting.
Peralejo expressed her thoughts about the holiday season which has come to a close, as per her Instagram post yesterday, Jan. 5, where she also shared a photo of herself and her son Manu together. The mother and child can be seen lying in a hammock, with a Laguna bed-and-breakfast as their stated location.
“One more day and we are back to the grind. Homeschool, work. Can you imagine, the holidays went by just like that and we still were able to feel every inch of its magic?” the celebrity mom said.
“Maybe for some it has become better — for us, specifically, it was better because our socials have significantly been decreased and so we had so much time to just be together and wait for the moments,” she explained.
But there’s another thing that Peralejo learned while enjoying family bonding during the Yuletide break – that “we cannot work for moments, we cannot create and will things just like that.”
“The only thing we can do is wait, to wait together, that when it finally passes, you make that deep dent in your heart which [sort of] serves like a reminder that once in your life something so unforgettable happened,” she said.
Peralejo believes that this is how memories are made and how relationships are kept fresh, “by waiting together and by consciously choosing to stay together.”
“Even when nothing great is happening until one big thing comes and you are able to share the strength of the experience,” Peralejo stressed.
The actress, who is also a writer, is married to pastor Joseph Bonifacio of Victory Church. JB
