Actress and entrepreneur Kris Bernal felt deeply frustrated when she learned that her line of cosmetics shipped to the United Kingdom got damaged.

Bernal, who owns a makeup line called SHE Cosmetics, explained what happened when she shipped her products abroad in a YouTube vlog episode last Monday, Jan. 11.

“Paano ko pinapadala o paano ko tsini-check na walang damage ‘yung ipapadala ko sa inyo? Sealed po siya here on top,” she assured, showing a product sample and its packaging. “So, bago po ako magpadala ng items ay tsini-check ko po isa-isa. And then I check everything – buo, walang tunaw, walang sira, walang sign of any damage.”

(How do I ship it or how do I check for damage those that I ship it to you? It’s sealed on top. So before I send the items, I check them one by one. And then I check everything – fully, nothing is melted, nothing is broken, there is no sign of any damage.)

“Sobrang nakaka-stress, sobrang traumatic, nagulo ang buhay ko. Na-depress ako in all honesty. Hindi ko akalaing makikita kong ganun ang cosmetics ko. Yung cushion na pinaghirapan ko, natunaw, nasira nang hindi ko alam kung paano,” she said.

(It is stressful, utterly traumatic, it messed up my life. I got depressed in all honestly. I never expected to see my cosmetics that way. The cushion, which I worked hard on, melted, was damaged and I don’t know how.)

Bernal shared that SHE products is all hers and that she takes care of everything, from “formulation to branding to marketing, to operation and shipping.”

She said that some problems include the late shipment of items, when there’s damage or dent in the box, and when items are returned. Bernal said she has also accepted resellers in the United States, Canada, Japan and Hong Kong.

Nonetheless, she gave a reimbursement to a reseller in the U.K., after the woman showed her the delivered damaged products. JB
