Located in the middle of calm and beautiful Bacuit Bay, Lagen Island is indeed a Philippine paradise. In a country that boasts of a large collection of world-class beaches and getaways, that’s not an easy feat to achieve.

There is something about Lagen that’s charming, endearing, but also breathtaking. Lagen Island is one of El Nido Resorts’ premier locations and is tagged “The Philippines’ Most Luxurious Resorts.”

The hype doesn’t undercut what awaits you. In fact, it’s but a teaser to what you will see and experience.

Safety first

In light of the current situation, El Nido Resorts assures your safety with its precautions in place. These include submission of a negative RT PCR test done not more than 48 hours before your flight.

Before you receive your travel itinerary, you are made to sign a health declaration form and guidelines. On the chartered plane and in the shared spaces, everyone is required to wear their mask and face shield.

Upon reaching the island, you will find that guests are limited and controlled within a bubble. Everyone you check in with will also be the same people you will check out with.

Finding some peace at Lagen Island.

Adventure awaits

A four day-three night stay at Lagen Island will go by quickly with all the wonders you’ll explore. On our first day, we went on the lagoon tours. Here you find tranquil waters protected by rock formations that are untouched by any human-made disturbances.

Away on an adventure through crystal waters.

Photos hardly do it justice. As you go through these bodies of water, a silence will overcome you. It’s the best way to give reverence to what you are witnessing.

Our lagoon tour leads to a visit to Entalula Island. This beach is home to limestone formations and caves.

You will marvel at the limestone formations at Entalula Island.

On our second day, we went to Dibuluan Island. Here you can be encouraged to do some water sports. But you may also opt to while away the hours sun-tanning to a good book and enjoying the solitude this hidden treasure provides.

Settling in

For the next two days, we were left to choose our own adventure. Lagen Island is brimming with options for you to define your own paradise. If the conditions allow it, you can go for a sunset cruise. You also are free to go on a hike so you can unwind and find your way as you reflect on the nature-blessed trail.

El Nido Resorts – Lagen Island offers various ways you could unwind and find time for yourself.

El Nido Resorts also provides various main beach amenities such as a large swimming pool, fitness center, and spa. A kids club is also available should you be looking into a trip with your children.

All of the rooms allow a view of the island with louvered windows so you can wake up and sleep to a glimpse of nature’s lushness. You might even spot an animal or two, the true owners of the place.

You will also feel a sense of freedom with the whitewashed cottages and villages with high ceilings, wide-open spaces, and balconies under sloping roofs with broad overhangs.

Home pride

Another highlight of the stay is the staff. They are locals of the island who have sincere love for El Nido. Every place to them has a story, and they can’t wait to share it with you. And that’s how they make you feel at home.

The type of place you would want to live in if you could.

One must also commend El Nido Resorts for their Be Green, Be Clean commitment. El Nido follows an eco-friendly approach in every aspect of your stay. This helps keep your experience safe and also helps in preserving the integrity of Lagen.

Memories made

A stay in Lagen Island is more than a treat. It’s a way to recharge your being. You will keep memories and views for your mind’s happy place. You’ll confirm that the Philippines holds precious islands, unparalleled in majesty and deserving of our attention.
