Actress Carla Abellana is once again knocking on the hearts of people for help for an abused animal, this time for a badly beaten dog.

Abellana described the suffering of the dog while also stating that the abuser was someone who was aspiring for a local political post.

“Beaten by an individual who was running for a local position in politics. What a role model,” Abellana said on her Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 6, where she also showed photos of the injuries of the dog.

Abellana noted that the dog’s “face is swollen, jaw also fractured, right eye lost its reflexes so [there could be] possible blindness for the right eye.”

“He is also anemic, with infection, and has blood parasite. After the snap 4D test he tested positive for [ehrlichia], heartworm and anaplasma,” she added.

James will be needing another x-ray and will be force-fed for about a month. Amid all these, Abellana is determined to continue the fight for the dog, stating, “This will be a long battle for dear [James] but we will not give up on him and we will pursue the case.”
