Ryza Cenon opens ‘midnight snack’ business for baby Night

Actress Ryza Cenon has an interesting story to tell about how she got the idea of setting up her own food business.

(Every night when I look after Night… it enters my mind that I already need to go back to work. But of course it is hard for me because I cannot leave him behind yet, and it’s also not yet safe for me to bring him along.)

Cenon then thought of something which could give her extra income, an idea that came to her while she also suddenly felt hungry.

(So, I looked at Night and then my tummy made a sound. It then entered my mind: midnight snack. So I told myself, hmmmm, I know how to bake and cook, why don’t I sell?)

Cenon then realized that the inspiration behind her business idea is actually her baby boy.

“Pag talaga nanay ka na gagawin mo lahat para sa [diaper] at gatas ng anak mo,” she said. (When you’re a mom, you really will do everything for you son’s diaper and milk.)

Her business has the full support of her boyfriend, cinematographer Miguel Antonio Cruz. Cenon gave birth to Night on Oct. 31 last year. JB
