You don’t decline an endorsement deal worth millions, right? But Heart Evangelista did just that — all because she doesn’t know how to drive.

Evangelista recalled having to turn down a very irresistible offer to endorse a car in her latest YouTube vlog posted Tuesday, Feb. 9.

“There was this car that was asking me to endorse them and, I don’t drive. So how can I fake that? And I had to decline it. And I think it was pretty big. It was about 8M,” Evangelista said.

But she just had to do it even though it meant losing a lot of money.

“That was like ‘aray’ (ouch) but then you know I always stay true to myself and to whatever I endorse because again I don’t want to live the lie,” she explained.

It’s just one among big offers that she has turned down. Along the way in her career, she has said no for the same reason – she can’t lie.

“And so that’s why I turned a lot down actually because… not that I don’t like it, I really like it but it’s just not something I use all the time,” she explained.

Evangelista also candidly addressed rumors that she never uses products that she endorses and that most of them go to her staff.

“Actually, I think it’s the other way around,” she quipped. “I used [the product or service] and they (companies) usually tap me. So, if I like something, that’s when they come forward.

“But honestly, it’s been such a struggle because of course, you know at the end of the day we all have our bills to pay. I’m also spending left and right…sometimes,” she said.

But she did admit that she shares her blessings as “giving” is her love language.

“But giving it away, I definitely give my stuff away,” she said. “I definitely share everything because I get lots of sponsors who send me boxes of lotions, coffee or what. So, my language of love is giving and I love sharing that with my staff.” NVG
