While most everyone is still very much limited to essential travels, those who enjoyed traveling a lot before the pandemic now must resort to nostalgia on their past journeys.
For one, actress Joyce Pring recalled the trips she made to Edinburgh in Scotland, and London, in 2015 and shared with fans her various moments and insights from these travels.
Pring, who was still single when she made the said trips, spoke about how she immensely enjoyed her solo trips, as seen on her Instagram page, March 1, where she also shared photos of the trips.
“Had the chance to eat alone today for the first time in a longggg time which made me remember some of my favorite solo trips exploring, eating, getting lost, discovering, partying, having fun alone,” she said.
Traveling alone can be rewarding, according to Pring.
“I had this thought which I feel I should say here in case someone needed to hear it — you have to be good at being on your own and enjoying being alone, if you ever want to truly enjoy being with someone else. So enjoy your time alone, it’s always purposeful,” she stated.
Itching to travel again once the pandemic is over, Pring cannot wait to take her family to the places she explored when she was still single.
She shared her experience in Edinburgh where she “tried haggis and cherry coke for the first time.” It was also there where she met a lady known as a Guinness World Record holder for being “The Most Pierced Woman.”
“She said I was pretty… until she proceeded to sell me some items (magaling marketing strat nya napabili ako ng madaming notebooks)” she related. (She has a very good marketing strategy, which led me to buying so many notebooks.)
She also visited the Edinburgh Castle and hiked at Arthur’s Seat during winter.
In London, she went to a park “where all the locals seemed to convene around a Chicken and Rice stand.” She visited the Tate Gallery, London Castle, Covent Garden, and the famous London Eye which she described as “super touristy.” While there, she asked strangers to take her pictures.
She also had her photo taken with the famous Brit group, The Beatles — with their life-sized models, to be exact.
Pring married fellow Kapuso actor Juancho Triviño in a garden wedding in February 2020. One year later, just last month, they announced that they are expecting their first baby. JB
