Young actor Grae Fernandez cannot say with finality if he would ever fall in love with his “Ang sa Iyo ay Akin” leading lady Kira Balinger.

For now, Fernandez simply considers Balinger as his “partner in crime.”

“Sobrang tuwang-tuwa ako na siya ang aking ka-love team (I am so happy that she is my love team partner). Let’s see what the future holds,” he said when asked if he sees Balinger as girlfriend material, during the online press conference on March 5 for the show’s finale week.

“It’s so easy to work with her, to be in a scene with her because she is such a generous actress,” he said. “Parang ‘yung job ko sobrang mas napapadali dahil sa kanya.” (It’s like my job becomes easier because of her.)

While doing the show, Fernandez admits to having developed a friendship with Balinger.

“Naging friends po kami dito at naging close ko siya. Ang dami naming natutunan tungkol sa isa’t isa dito sa show. We just work well on and off camera. Nagpapasalamat ako kay Kira for being partners in crime,” he said.

(We became friends here and we’ve gotten close. We learned a lot about each other through the show… I thank Kira for being my partner in crime.)

As to how he unwinds after a heavy scene, Fernandez said he does so by eating.

“Ako po, after a day parang may ano po ako sa pagkain. ‘Yun po ang release ko, ‘yung pagkain. Meron pong nagse-share sa akin ng food. Lahat po sila nagse-share sa amin ni Kira ng food,” he related.

(For me, after a day, I have a thing for food. That’s my release, eating. People share food with me. Everyone shares their food to me and Kira.)

But what he cherishes the most is his bonding time with his co-actors, whom he gets to dine with after they have packed up for the day. He said he will not forget the times of just enjoying moments with them off camera.

In the series, Fernandez who plays Jake will figure in a mishap which will put his life in grave danger.
