There is a sense of daring by which actor Markki Stroem recently celebrated his birthday – by bearing it all.

Stroem unabashedly posed nude for a birthday shoot, as can be seen on his two Instragram posts on March 21, where he was in a countryside setting, wearing nothing.

“Another year older, another year wiser,” said the 34-year-old actor.

Stroem recalled that as a teenager, he was already brave and daring.

“When I was in High School, I enjoyed going for runs in the WILD. I had a secret spot where I would sit and stare at the city landscape on a mountain top. I would only bring my dear friends to this hidden GEM,” he said.

With his birthday shoot having been done in the said secret place, he considers it a milestone, “capturing this safe space in its purest form.” The place also means a lot to him because it is tied to another childhood memory.

Stroem recalled that when he and his brothers were younger, they would be “forced to go on weekend runs with Daddy Stroem.” They woke up at 5 a.m. and suited up “for a run up a very steep hill” that his father called “the Big Tit.”

“My brothers @stroemkub and @kai_stroem would dread the uphill climb, with very little time to rest. The most rewarding, though, was reaching the top with a view of the Manila Skyline,” he added.

While he did not name the exact place of his shoot, both posts stated Antipolo, Rizal as location.

One of Stroem’s brothers, @stroemkub, did appreciate the actor’s birthday shoot and said, “You did your Birthday shoot on The Big Tit… There is something poetic about that… We have come Full Circle.”

Being bold and daring is not new to Stroem who appeared in some scenes with nudity in “Amor y Muerte,” a 2013 Cinemalaya Film Festival entry where he played the role of a Spanish conquistador. He also had love scenes in the series “Unlocked” directed by Adolf Alix, Jr. JB
