For TV anchor Gretchen Fullido, taking a much-needed break from the job and listening to one’s body are two important factors that help us achieve a healthy lifestyle.
At the same time, Fullido advises that one needs to exercise, more so if one feels the body is weak, as per her Instagram post today, April 22. She shared a ten-minute exercise video where she is seen doing bending and lifting exercises.
“Post dysmenorrhea-migraine comeback/recovery workout. Just a steady [and] chill 10 minutes x 3 rounds para mas fun (so it’s more fun),” she said.
Fullido felt she needed a break last week after suffering from “dysmenorrhea + migraine + hyperacidity combo.”
“Needed to do bed rest [and] just take it easy… as in chillax [and] just listen to my body. In short, Pahinga (rest),” she said.
Fullido thus thinks that there’s “no need [to] force yourself if you’re not feeling well” because “[that’s] just going to be counter productive.” She said this is all the more true when one has pain from hormonal dysmenorrhea and migraine.
“Rest if your body [and] mind tells you to. Then just slowly do a comeback when you’re ready,” she said. “Health is indeed wealth – both physically, mentally, emotionally [and] spiritually. But rest is also as important.”
Aside from being a health buff, Fullido is also a dog lover and a certified plantita. JB
