When shopping around for bags, I see the point in splurging in one that you can use every day without worrying about it looking beaten after a month or two.
Designer bags usually carry their weight when it comes to durability and timelessness. This is true especially when you choose one that can take you from the office to the airport check-in.
As much as a cute night-out bag completes an outfit, it can easily get dated. If I will spend a pretty penny, I will get one that I spotted recently: the Proenza Schouler Hava Bag. I was attracted to how it looks like a satchel bag but with folding details which remind me a bit of origami. There are two kinds of Hava bags, one in leather and the other in suede with a choice of colors from black to pumpkin.
I particularly liked the black one in the medium size. It features a detachable and thick shoulder strap which would be comfortable when carrying a lot of stuff. There is an external pocket at the back which is good for letters and documents. Inside is a roomy compartment for the rest of your necessities and a smaller inner compartment for your keys, card holder and your phone. Good when you like to keep your stuff in order.
The metal clasp makes it easy to access but allows for extra security especially if you tend to be a little careless. It also stops you from just dumping everything in, a good trick if you need to streamline your hoarding tendencies. All this bag allows is your essentials, and isn’t that the best part?
