With the pandemic, comedian Vice Ganda learned some valuable lessons in life which made him all the more prayerful.
“Nothing is for sure,” Vice answered when asked about what is it that he realized as the pandemic wreaked havoc; this was during the online press conference on May 7 for “Gandemic: Vice Ganda The VG-Tal Concert.”
The comedian feels that everyone at this time is helpless since “everything is in the hands of God.”
“Nothing is definite,” he noted. “And even if there are a lot of people who feel they are powerful and rich and privileged, isa lang ‘yung most powerful at Siya lang ang makakapag-decide ng lahat ng mangyayari (there is only one who is most powerful, and only He can decide what will happen).”
Vice firmly believes that everyone simply awaits God’s decisions, and that everyone needs to trust the higher being’s reasons. Vice also revealed that despite his comic image, he is actually a prayerful person.
“Hindi man alam ng tao na madasalin ako, dasal lang ako nang dasal kahit patawa ako nang patawa, dasal ako nang dasal lagi,” he said.
(Not many people know that I am very prayerful. I keep praying and praying though I keep joking and joking. I always pray.)
Vice also admitted that while he lost some potential earnings from doing corporate shows, concert tours and movies, his finances were still spared by the pandemic.
“Araw-araw, kumikita pa rin naman ako. In fact, may bago na naman akong programa, dalawa na naman ‘yung magiging programa ko so hindi siya naka-affect sa akin, financially, in a negative way kasi kumikita pa din naman ako,” he said.
(Every day, I still earn. In fact, I have a new program, I will have two shows, so [the pandemic] did not affect me financially in a negative way, because I am still earning.)
“Gandemic: Vice Ganda VG-tal Concert” will be streamed on July 17, 2021 through KTX.PH, iWantTFC and SkyPPV. VIP passes cost P1,500 each while a regular pass is worth P1,000 and are available at KTX.ph
