Actress and fitness coach Michelle Madrigal has joined a global fitness competition, Ms. Health & Fitness, and she needs support from fans and followers in the form of votes.
Madrigal made the announcement on her Instagram page yesterday, June 7. The voting starts June 14 at 10 a.m. PDT, a week from now.
“If you could please find it in your heart to support me in this journey and vote daily so I can make the first cut… that would be so appreciated,” she said. “This is going to be a long online competition. The winner will be announced in Aug 5th. With that being said, I would be sharing and posting more about this journey.”
The contest will give away a grand prize of $20,000 (over P953,000). Madrigal then stated ways by which she would spend her prize money if ever she wins, further noting that “it would be such an [honor] to win the title and [represent] my Filipino community.”
“I would donate and host an event to bring awareness to sexually abused girls (something I am very passionate about),” Madrigal said. She will also use some amount of money for her daughter.
“I would enhance my skills so I could serve and help others on a higher level,” she promised.
This isn’t the first fitness contest Madrigal has joined. Last month, she participated in a fitness competition, Hyrox America, in Austin, Texas where she placed fifth in her age group. JB
