Being mean in the small screen, along with doing campy scenes, is something which actress Agot Isidro enjoys extremely. She explained why during the online press conference for the return of the teleserye “La Vida Lena,” last June 16.

“Sa akin, pinaka-enjoy ako kapag kontrabida or kapag ganyan kasi nalalaro mo talaga ‘yung role mo, ‘yung character mo,” she said.

(For me, I enjoy being the antagonist the most, because you are really able to play with your role, your character.)

“As for ‘yung dami ng [campy scenes], why not? Ang saya naman kasi makita ‘yung bangayan lalo na at may sides na tine-take. Ito ‘yung kinakampihan mo tapos ito naman ang kinakampihan nila, ang saya kasi parang nagtsi-cheer on ka rin,” she explained.

(As for the number of those scenes, why not? It’s fun to see the tussle and how sides are being taken. This is who you side with, and this one is the one they’re siding with, it’s fun because it’s like you’re also cheering.)

Isidro also said her character Vanessa Narciso is different from Janice de Belen’s Ramona Joaquin role.

“Ako ‘yung medyo hyper, siya cool lang. Kaya kapag nagbabangayan kami ay may pikunan factor talaga lalo na ako, kasi ako ‘yung napipikon,” she shared.

(I am the one who’s hyper, she’s cool. When we trade barbs, there’s that factor where you can lose your temper, especially with me because I snap.)

“So ang saya. After noon ay tatawa lang kami,” said Isidro. “Ang sarap niya gawin.”

(So, it’s fun. After that, we just laugh. It’s so fun to do.)

After its initial airing in November last year, “La Vida Lena” will broadcast its continuation on June 28, 10:00 p.m. at the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z Channel 11, TV5, iWantTFC and TFC. JB
