Actress Candy Pangilinan is one happy and proud mom, sharing with fans the good news that her son Quentin has started training as an altar server.
Pangilinan, a single mom to her only child with special needs, posted a photo of her son in the altar on Instagram yesterday, July 12, to mark her son’s first day of training.
A couple of days earlier, Pangilinan also expressed her gratitude to everyone who sent her messages about her son and their willingness to assist in his learning as a church servant. The messages overwhelmed her especially since they came from people from different parishes, while some were even willing to gift Quentin with a cassock. Pangilinan shared how she was moved to tears when she told her mom about it.
The actress also narrated that brothers and grandfather lay ministers who embraced Quentin until he grew up in the church were all happy with the good news. Some of them are already seniors. One of his son’s best friend lay minister also died before the pandemic, which saddened the boy.
“Sa dami ng messages niyo, pumayag na po ang pinuno ng altar server ng aming parokya na turuan si Quentin,” she said. “Magsisimula na po ang training ni Quentin pagkatapos ng Novena masses. Ngayon po, siya ay sasama sa altar servers para mag-observe.”
(Given your overwhelming messages, the head of altar servers of our parish has agreed to teach Quentin. His training will start after Novena masses. For now, he will join the altar servers to observe.) JB
