Actress and Armed Forces of the Philippines reservist Arci Munoz is partnering with a nationwide campaign which appeals to all Filipinos to get vaccinated.
Munoz is now an ambassador of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)’s Disiplina Muna campaign. She is tying up with the program through Bestfrend ng Bayan Foundation chairman Renan Ponce Pascual Morales.
“One time through JM de Guzman’s friend, I met Morales while we were getting our NBI clearances in Tagatay,” Arci said during a select face-to-face press conference at the Podium last Wednesday, July 28. “They talked to my superiors at the air force. Of course, I said [yes] right away.”
“Sabi ko nga, sa maliit na maitutulong ko, my heart is close sa mga sundalo natin kasi nga. I had gist with their trainings. These are the things na hindi ko talaga ma-imagine na I would do,” she said. I am very humbled to be representing DILG in their campaign ‘Disiplina Muna.'”
(As I’ve said, in whatever little way I can help, my heart is close to our soldiers. I [have an idea] of how they train. These are the things that I can’t imagine I would do.)
“I will do anything in my power to help you influence people especially the youth, the young ones,” she told the agency, noting how careful she was in observing protocols when she was training at the Air Force.
Muñoz added that she wants the youth to see that she is present in the event being fully vaccinated.
“It doesn’t mean [I can already go wherever] or do whatsoever that I want,” she stressed. “You still have to be responsible, not only for yourself but those people around you.” JB
