‘How can I pray for you?’: Catriona Gray addresses fans, followers amid continuing pandemic

Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray is well aware that the pandemic has affected everyone and left most Filipinos devastated.

While she has not been frequently posting personal updates on social media, she made her presence felt today, Aug. 25, just to check-in and wish everyone well.

“Hey everyone, just checking in. I know I haven’t been active much on social media lately. It’s just that personally, it’s become a bit much. Not social media alone, but just the news and the numbers,” she said, referring to statistics on the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It feels like every week, there are condolences being shared on my timeline,” she lamented. “Friends losing family. Friends losing friends. Families separated. People feeling isolated and alone fighting battles that seem too great.”

Gray said she wanted “to reach out, in this small way,” to let people know that they are not alone no matter what they are going through.

“Your feelings and your experiences are VALID,” she reassured. “And no matter how big the challenges may seem, there is always hope to be found. God is greater than this and He is on your side.”

Finally, she offered to pray for those who would write down their concerns in the comments section of her post.

The beauty queen has been busy with endorsement projects lately. Last May, she finally reunited with her parents in Australia after over a year of being apart due to lockdowns imposed under the COVID-19 pandemic. JB
