LOOK: Maxene Magalona marks 1st anniversary of graduating from yoga course

It’s been exactly one year since Maxene Magalona completed her yoga training course in Bali, Indonesia and she now recalls how she came to benefit so much from those classes.

Magalona expressed gratitude for taking up yoga which she believes helped make her a better person, as she shared in her Instagram page yesterday, Aug. 31, where she also showed her yoga certificate, a photo with her instructor, and a short video of her graduation rites.

“It’s officially been a year since I finished my yoga teacher training at one of my most beloved yoga studios in Bali @thepracticebaliyoga,” she said.

Magalona stated that the practice of yoga has helped her gain access to her own energy and learn how to manage so she can “consciously contribute only goodness to the world.”

“I used to have a huge problem handling my emotions which would cause me to explode and project negative energy towards others,” she admitted. “Little did I know that by unconsciously dispelling bad vibes out into the universe, they would one day haunt me in the form of karma. It’s just the natural law of the universe. What goes around, comes around.”

Through yoga, Magalona learned how to harness her own energy, change her thinking process and create new habits that help her evolve as a person.

“I really believe that God brought me to this path so that I can finally learn how to heal my own energy,” she said, recalling how her meditation teacher Octavio Salvado encouraged everyone “to set a clear and honest intention.”

“He told us to think of a clear and concise phrase that we can use as our intention to guide ourselves on our dharmic path. The phrase that I chose for my personal intention is ‘my energy is healing,’” she said. That intention remains useful for Magalona to this day.

“Not only do I get to balance my own energy, I also get to share and extend the energy of healing to others as well.” JB
