More than losing weight and developing abs, celebrity mom and vlogger Rica Peralejo is looking to gain more strength from her exercises.
Peralejo emphasized the importance of strength in her Instagram post on Sept. 4, where she also narrated how her recent fitness journey began, when she tried yoga for the first time.
“I remember beginning my most recent fitness streak right after our Covid infection. It felt like I was just so through with the inactivity. And for some reason I ended up trying Yoga. An exercise I never had any interest for before,’ she said.
Peralejo tried a free 30-day-yoga program online, Yoga with Adriene, which later helped her reframe her thoughts about fitness and body love, which she now sees as ways of developing of strength.
“Not weight loss, not a six pack, but strength. And this, in turn, enabled me to enjoy and value my program @withthefuts, which ultimately led me to my love of jump rope. #fromstrengthtostrength,” she added.
Peralejo also talked about her fitness journey in her YouTube channel through a latest vlog post.
For the actress, “getting fit needs just as much readiness and support as you would give to someone who is doing hard work.”
“We are holistic beings after all,” she explained. “So you can’t just tell the body to move if your heart and mind are not in the right places.” JB
