Taylor Swift’s Restored Mansion Is Perfect for Entertaining

Is there anything Taylor Swift can’t do? Well, she can’t take down Kim Kardashian and her fam, but she sure can sing, write, and produce. She also most recently added a new achievement in her long resume—a conservator. Or maybe just a real estate junkie.

In between song writing and taking over the world, she is also in the process of restoring the 1934 mansion that she bought for a cool $25 million back in 2015. She wanted to restore the Old Hollywood glamour of the mansion and take it back to its glory days.

The two-story, 11,000-square-foot mansion was owned by legendary Hollywood director Samuel Goldwyn and was designed by Douglas Hannold. It’s made of white-painted brick (how rustic) and stucco. And from what we’ve heard, it was perfect for entertaining. Samuel used to hold parties and film screenings in this very mansion back in the day, so it’s no surprise to see Taylor Swift throw parties as soon as she moves in. House-warming party care of Tay-Tay? Oh yeah, totally happening.

The restoration of the mansion also has the possibility of being tagged as a historical landmark. It’s not final, but there really is a huge possibility. The Beverly Hills Cultural Heritage Commission set a motion, but there’s no schedule for a second meeting and a voting session just yet.

“Really when this project’s done, hopefully this year sometime soon, it’s going to be really spectacular,” said Taylor’s architect Monique Schenk. “We’ve preserved and maintained a lot of the elements and those that were deteriorating, we’ve replicated.”

We’re not kidding when we say that we can’t wait for her to throw parties. By the looks of these photos, it will be amazing.
