MANILA, Philippines — The candidates for the next Miss Universe Philippines is now down to only five contenders.
The top five were chosen after the competition was cut down to only 10 candidates.
After they stunned the judges and the crowd during the swimsuit competition, they then proceeded to strut down the runway with their evening gowns, designed by Filipino designers.

Shortly after the said challenges and a short Q&A answer portion the judges chose the following five:
Miss Cebu Province Steffi Rose Aberasturi
Miss Cebu City Beatrice Luigi Gomez
Miss Taguig Katrina Dimaranan
Miss Cavite Victoria Velasquez Vincent
Miss Pangasinan Maureen Christa Wroblewitz
The night started with 28 candidates before being trimmed down to five, of which one will continue their journey by being crowned this year’s Miss Universe Philippines, who will then compete in the 70th international Miss Universe, which will be held in Eilat, Israel in December.
