Actress and vlogger Rica Peralejo believes it’s important for a couple to be in synch with each other to function well, though this may not be easy.
Peralejo stressed the importance of a couple being unified and able to go with each other’s pace as seen on her Instagram post today, Oct. 3, where she shared a short video of herself and her husband doing jumping rope exercises together.
“Here is a picture of marriage. It is getting your act together,” she said. “One or the other will get the rhythm wrong at some point and whoever did not has the harder job of waiting for the other one to come around.”

“We both do this to each other. He has had to wait for me a lot and me for him,” she explained. “This is the price of doing life together. Of being one.”
She said she is willing to pay that price “anytime for someone as patient, loving, open and persistent” as her husband, Christian pastor Joseph Bonifacio. She also pointed out that when the costs are outweighed by the benefits that the couple reaps together, those costs cease from being just costs and can be considered investment.
“Now if only we have the eyes to see marriage as an investment that grows over time then maybe there is more we can endure and we can be smarter with our choices,” Peralejo explained. JB
