Robinsons Malls advances healthy lifestyle with NBO partnership

More and more people are discovering and rediscovering the beauty of biking. What’s not to love? You can go from one way place to another without having to worry much about traffic, be socially distanced from the crowd unlike in public transportations, and even lose a few pounds as you push the pedal. But nothing beats that feeling of the wind in your face when you go downhill or uphill on your two-wheel ride—most especially when you have a great view. After a successful Robinsons Place Manila Bike Tour last July 17, Robinsons Malls and National Bike Organization are having another edition of the fun ride—this time, around the winding roads of Antipolo as you feel the chilly breeze from the mountains on October 24, 2021, Sunday. The ride starts at Robinsons Metro East along Marikina-Infanta Highway in Pasig City at exactly 6 a.m., through the slopes of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, and ends at Robinsons Place Antipolo in Rizal.

“The Robinsons Malls Fun Ride at Robinsons Metro East and Robinsons Place Antipolo is just one of Robinsons Malls’ various initiatives to promote active and healthy lifestyle and encourage biking as an eco-friendly alternative to mobility. We collaborated with National Bicycle Organization for regular biking lessons at Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Magnolia, and Robinsons Metro East. We also launched self-service Bike Repair Stations and secure bike parking areas in Robinsons Malls nationwide,” said Myron Lawrence Yao, Operations Director of Robinsons Malls Luzon.

Assembly is at Robinsons Metro East’s East Deck, which is located at the sixth-floor roof deck of the Mall. The newly opened one-stop outdoor lifestyle hub provides more than enough space to do some warm-up and stretching with your friends before the long ride. You can do one full lap at the jogging lane, which spans 176 meters; or just walk around to awaken those muscles. You can also grab breakfast at Starbucks as early as 7 a.m. at the Upper Ground Level.

If you need some last-minute supplies before ride out, you can drop by Robinsons Supermarket or SouthStar Drug at the Lower Ground level.  They got water, energy drinks, first aid kit, and other must-haves on the road. Your wheels need to prepared, too. Head to the Bike Repair Station at Robinsons Metro East’s Upper Ground Level, where you can use bike tools and tire pump for free.

As soon as everyone’s ready, bikers head out uphill and enjoy the view. Don’t worry, you have more than enough time to snap some photos during the stopovers at Valley Golf and Cloud 9.  San Pedro Calungsod Parish also has a veranda with a great view of the Metro Manila skyline. You can have your rides blessed at the Antipolo Cathedral.

After a very tiring adventure, the last stop is at Robinsons Place Antipolo where you have tons of things to enjoy the rest of the day. You can safely park your bikes at the mall’s Bicycle Parking Area, which also has a Bike Repair Station for when you need to make sure everything’s intact. Robinsons Place Antipolo’s Open Parking has been transformed into the Picnic Grounds, where you can pig out on your favorite food while surrounded by trees. A number of stalls offer a range of light to heavy meals so you won’t run out of options. The mall’s many restaurants also have Al Fresco Areas just in case you have a very specific craving for the day.
