Dimples Romana celebrates daughter’s journey to becoming a pilot

Actress Dimples Romana turned emotional as she penned a message celebrating her daughter Callie who is off to study in an aviation school in Australia.

Romana expressed her gratitude for having an obedient and driven daughter, as per her Instagram page today, Oct. 25, where she shared a short video of her daughter and a series of photos of her growing up years.

Romana recalled that she had Callie while she was still young, so young that she “felt unworthy of the dreams” she thought she left behind.

“Sabi kasi nila noon, pag nag asawa at anak na daw ako, TAPOS na ang AKING MGA PANGARAP,” she said. (They used to say that when I already get married and have child, that would be the end of my dreams.)

“I was told many ugly, hurtful things that got to me and made me feel UNWORTHY of anything GOOD,” she added. “Natutunan ko (I learned) that if someone truly loves you, they WILL RESPECT your journey and will always cheer you on with your personal choices and the path you want to take on. They will LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT. They will BLESS you with their unconditional love and friendship.”

Romana instead chose to surround herself with a very supportive family – husband Boyet, daughter Callie and son Alonzo – and realized that she is “embraced by a LOVE so FULL and SECURE that no struggle is ever too heavy” for them to bear as a family.

Romana credits Callie for teaching her many positive things, such as how it is OK to want things for one’s self.

“Callie is blessed to have grown into this wide net of love of family and friendship and that’s the reason why she has always been a lady who believes in acknowledging the opportunities life hands over to her and all the responsibilities that come with it,” the proud mom stated.

She then expressed how happy she and her husband are to see their daughter “pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a pilot like her Lolo Boy and take on life’s many adventures.”

“Her [9-year-old] goofy face still stuck in my head. A fine young woman to become EVERYTHING she DREAMS TO BE and MORE,” Romana said. JB
